The Central Synagogue is truly a venue of distinction. Our many halls and marble foyers offer the perfect setting for every occasion; from intimate family gatherings to grand affairs, from joyous celebrations to business conferences. Our state-of-the-art building has underground parking, lifts, well equipped kitchens, catering facilities as well as disabled access. There are five areas from which to choose, depending on the size of your function and your specific requirements, each will enhance and make your event truly memorable.
 

The Julius & Erna Platus Hall

This room is ideally suited to smaller functions such as a small banquet setting, a Kiddush or cocktails. It offers a very pleasant setting with glass doors along one side, opening onto a lovely outdoor area.

The Triguboff Family Foyer

This area forms part of the imposing entrance to the Synagogue and can be adapted to suit a wide range of functions. Exhibitions, dinners, displays, cocktails – its flexibility provides endless possibilities.

The Lowy Beit Midrash

You might choose to retain the intimate quality of the room for a smaller gathering, or open the folding doors to incorporate the foyer area. With these doors open you have the capacity for unlimited numbers for a Kiddush. With the doors closed, this room will seat a large number in a theatre style layout. This hall has an adjoining well equipped kitchen.

The John Saunders Hall 

This is our largest and most elegant hall. It can be adapted to suit any event, business or celebratory functions and can be equally effective in both guises. It has very high ceiling, large space and a dance floor and is a perfect venue for your any simcha. This hall has a large adjoining fully equipped kitchen.

The foyer which forms the entrance to the hall can also be utilised as an extension or reception area to the hall.
